2018
ASTIB project will be presented during the meeting of the SAE A6 Committee focused on Aerospace Actuation, Control and Fluid Power. The event will take place in Perugia (Italy) from the 8th to the 11th of October.
ASTIB results in the development of advanced framework for prognosis of Electro-Mechanical flight control actuators have been presented during the 4th European Conference of the Prognostics and Health Management Society hosted in Utrecht (NL) and organised by the PHM society.
The annual review meeting was hosted by the University of Naples (Italy). The meeting was attended by all Regional-IADP core partners and representatives from the European Commission to point out the project achievements during the third year of the program.
ASTIB results in the design of electro-mechanical servo-actuators for primary flight controls have been presented during the International Conference R3ASC18 hosted in Toulouse and organised by the Institut national des sciences appliquées de Toulouse(INSA).
2017
The meeting was hosted by the Topic Manager Finmeccanica Aircraft Division, in Pomigliano (Naples), Italy. The PDR was attended by all partners involved in the landing gear development. This closure meeting addressed the actions arisen during the opening PDR meeting in December 2016 and the new landing gear design as result of the optimization loop.
The meeting was hosted by CERTIA, and took place in Paris, France. The PDR was attended by all partners involved in the Iron Bird development and by the Topic Manager Leonardo Aircraft. This review allowed to assess the Iron Bird design status in terms of architecture, equipment integration, mechanical/electrical interfaces and planned modes of operation.
ASTIB project has been presented during the 53th International Paris Airshow. ASTIB partners disseminated the project results by means of a public video prepared for the Clean Sky 2 stand and through a presentation during the conference organised by CERTIA within the Airshow facility

The first meeting of the steering committee was hosted by the Topic Manager Leonardo Aircraft, in Pomigliano (Naples), Italy. The committee is composed by the legal representatives of ASTIB partners, Leonardo Aircraft and JU. These program meetings address the risks and plan the recovery actions to ensure the proper evolution of the program.
ASTIB project has been presented during the International Workshop on Aircraft Systems Technologies (AST 2017) hosted in Hamburg and organised by the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and by the Institut national des sciences appliquées de Toulouse (INSA).

This review allowed to assess the Iron Bird project design status, in particular the mechanical/electrical architecture and its main components Moreover FNM and the ASTIB partners took the opportunity to discuss also about the location, the physical constraints, the qualification requirements, the functions and operations of the Iron Bird and to define the goals, the tests typology and the configuration under test.

This review allowed to verify the correct requirement understanding, to agree on the technical requirements and consequently freeze the specifications to be used for the development, qualification and validation/certification activities
